Overview
ValPress Market sells digital products—themes and plugins delivered by license. Because these are downloadable goods, refund eligibility depends on whether the product has been accessed and whether the issue can be resolved through support. This policy explains when refunds may be granted and how to request one.
Free Products
Free products do not require payment and are not eligible for refunds. If you experience a problem with a free product, please contact support or the developer through the marketplace.
Refund Eligibility
We may approve a refund for paid purchases when all of the following apply:
- Your request is submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.
- The product is materially defective, not as described, or incompatible with your environment in a way that was not disclosed on the product page.
- You have contacted support and allowed a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before requesting a refund.
- You have not extensively used, deployed, or redistributed the product beyond reasonable evaluation.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not granted when:
- You changed your mind after purchase or no longer need the product.
- The product works as described but does not meet your subjective expectations.
- The issue is caused by third-party plugins, hosting configuration, or modifications you made to the product.
- You failed to meet the stated system requirements (PHP version, ValPress compatibility, etc.).
- The refund window has expired or the license has already been activated on production sites.
- We detect abuse, fraudulent chargebacks, or repeated refund requests in bad faith.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact our support team at support@valpress.net with the following information:
- The email address associated with your ValPress Market account.
- The product name and date of purchase.
- Your order or transaction reference, if available.
- A clear description of the problem and any troubleshooting steps already taken.
We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed through the original payment method via our payment provider (Stripe). Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
What Happens After a Refund
If a refund is approved, your license for the product will be revoked and you must stop using, distributing, and retaining copies of the product. Access to downloads and updates will be removed from your account. Developer payouts related to the refunded sale may be reversed in accordance with our payout rules.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. We encourage you to reach out to support before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue promptly.
